I loved going toe to toe with a reaper like this, but honestly the worst part was chasing him around to re-engage, without a grappling hook. It took 5 rounds, and 9-10 double-punches per round, for a total of ~47 punches to kill him. You then get out and repair about 20% damage to your prawn, then chase the reaper down again to repeat. When get grabs you, you get about 9 or 10 punches per arm (so 18-20 hits total) before he releases you. I have not counted how many regular knife strikes you would need.Īlright! A boxing match :) Getting the reaper's attention is tedious. EDIT: It takes 124 thermoblade strikes to kill a reaper. This is relatively low risk, doesn't require much tech (you can be early to mid-game and pull this off), and is very effective. The basic idea is you get the reaper's attention, stasis him, and then knife his face, repeating until dead.
